Most businesses groan when they learn how long the wait can be for SEO to show results. For a new site, rankings will not even be sniffed on Google for a minimum of six months. With in-house SEO training, a company should look for a SEO expert that publishes high rankings on their site. They should also look for an SEO expert that is going to deliver a class and ongoing consulting. This probably sounds fairly obvious, but there is a unique factor that businesses must recognize.

It is a fundamental fact that the three major search engines update the method by which they rank sites every three to four months. In laymen’s terms, this means the game changes a bit every quarter and can be substantially different after four quarters have passed. What worked in 2003 not only doesn’t work now, it is laughably inapplicable. Understanding this is the key to SEO training.

If they offer to provide you with a manual or book for SEO training, warning lights should go off in your head. That manual or book may work now, but it is going to be useless to you next year.
