Keyword Analysis and Developing Keyword Phrase Lists

Developing an accurate keyword list is a critical step when it comes to generating traffic off of the search engines. We will analyze your business and research the keyword phrases people are typing into search engines to find services, information and products in your business area. We also identify those phrases that are going to produce the most traffic to your site.

 Meta-Tagging

Meta tags are pieces of code on your site that tell a search engine what the page is about. We take the keyword list developed above and create meta tags for each page of your site as appropriate. The goal is to get both the home page and internal pages of your site ranked in the search engines. There are specific formulas that must be used with your meta tags to achieve top rankings and we will produce meta tags that comply with them.

Site Optimization

While meta tags are important in obtaining rankings, the content on each page of your site plays an equally important rule. There many different rules about how often the keyword phrase should appear on the page, often referred to as keyword density. We will optimize each page of your site to comply with the guidelines and use a few tricks to maximize your rankings.

The search engines continually change the formula used to rank sites. These changes are loosely known as “dances.” When a search engine dances, we will deduce what it means and implement any changes needed for your site.

Directory Submissions

There are sites on the web that are simply directories of other sites. A listing in these directories can produce traffic for your site. More importantly, a listing on certain directories is considered very valuable by Google, MSN and Yahoo and can result in higher rankings for your site. We have the list and will submit your site to them.

Google and Yahoo Local

If you have a brick and mortar store or office, the hottest thing in web marketing is the local business listings provided by Google and Yahoo. When a person searches on either of these search engines for something by specific location, the first listings are the local results. They are similar in appearance to a phone book listing.

Getting added to the local listings for Google and Yahoo is a valuable marketing step. There is a bit of red tape involved, but we know how to get through it and get you listed. With the Silver Package, we do just that for you and your site.

Build Resource Directory

Trading links with other relevant sites is a necessary and powerful way to improve your rankings, particularly on Google. We will build a directory on your site to do just that. The directory is used to trade links with other sites in your general business area, but not with direct competitors. For instance, a directory for your San Diego dentist site would contain links to dentist in other cities.

In exchange for placing links in the directory to other sites, those sites will create a link to yours. Yes, we monitor them to make sure they actually place the link. These links are incredibly valuable in moving your site up in the rankings in the search engines. The links can also generate traffic from those sites to yours. This increases your sites link popularity.

Create Sitemaps

Sitemaps list all major pages on your site and tell search engines what is there and what should be indexed. They represent a critical site-engineering step that must be taken to make sure each page of your site is included in the search engine database and, subsequently, the results produced when someone searches for something related to your keyword phrases. We create XML, RSS, and TXT type sitemaps within your site's file structure and submit them to Google and Yahoo. Without these sitemaps, it can take up to three months to get your pages indexed, a major delay that should be avoided.

Link Exchanging

As mentioned previously, the number of links on other sites that point to yours is critical to the ranking process. The more links pointing to your site from relevant, highly valued sites, the higher your site will rank.

With our link exchanging effort, we get links for you. We have developed a proprietary database of sites and directories in which we actively participate to find others looking to exchange links for sites in your industry. We also locate forums related to your site subject matter and contact other site owners in regard to exchanging links. This is time intensive, but a very effective way to generate very valuable links and high rankings.

Monthly Sitemaps Analysis and Solutions

Google has a top line sitemaps tool that allows us to analyze exactly how it views your site. This allows us to identify any problem areas with the site, and generate useful statistics that can be used to manipulate your site to obtain better rankings.

Each month, we will perform a sitemaps analysis. We will provide you with a written report identifying the status, any problems and suggested solutions.

Analysis and Suggestions

In addition to the sitemaps analysis, we perform a global analysis of your site each month and provide a written report of any suggestions. This report incorporates information gleaned from your server logs [information on visitors], rankings, and so on. Essentially, the report acts as a monthly tune-up for your site.
